Donnelly Mission Statement
Donnelly College is a two-year, independent, co-educational community college. Founded in 1949, affiliated with the Catholic Church and sponsored by the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, Donnelly was located and has remained in the heart of Kansas City, Kansas. The express mission of Donnelly College is to provide education and community services with personal concern for the needs and abilities of each student, especially those who might not otherwise be served. The following Institutional Goals have been specified for carrying out this mission.

To help students develop their potential through awareness of their relationship with God, the community, the environment and themselves.
To challenge students to think clearly and to communicate effectively.
To offer students guidance and opportunities for growth in self-confidence, responsibility and leadership.

To enable students to discover and use instructional and learning resources effectively.
To prepare students for living in an intercultural society by providing opportunities for enrichment and by association with and appreciation of individuals of differing races, religions, nationalities and cultures.
To prepare and encourage students to continue their education for higher degrees at four-year colleges.
To assist students in both career development and job placement.
To provide students with relevant educational programs by responding to the changing needs of the local community.
To encourage students to participate in community activities and services by designing opportunities and providing example.
